Make sure you are using the correct audio file! If the sequence was written using Album "A" and you get the some from album "B" or download it somewhere on the internet, there is a good chance you don't have exactly the same audio. For example, maybe the copy you have is at a slightly different tempo. There are additional problems with using MP3 files. If your MP3 was encoded using a variable bit rate, the synchronizaion will not work correctly. You can fix this by installing Audacity on your computer. Open the mp3 in Audacity, and export a NEW copy as MP3. If your problem was a variable bit rate, this new copy will no longer have the problem. [more]
When sharing files or using slightly different copies of audio, sometimes they have a different amount of silence at the beginning of the track. If you suspect this is the problem, just right click on one of the beginning cells in the sequence, and choose "resize event to." Then, change the time as needed. For example, if the lights are 0.5 ahead of the audio track, then add 0.5 seconds. This is a quick and easy way to shift the entire sequence grid without having to do each one manually. |
